3M Dual Lock (42M)
3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fasteners consist of a continuous polyolefin film backing with mushroom shaped stems protruding up from the backing. When pressed together these stems interlock to provide you with a strong reliable attachment. Currently we only offer the 250-type stem density, which refers to the approximate number of stems per square inch.
Dual Lock Reclosable Fasteners can reduce the number of, or completely replace, conventional fasteners such as screws, clips, rivets, latches and bolts in many applications where a high strength fastening system is required.
SJ3870 has a high strength modified acrylic adhesive which will bond to a variety of high surface and medium surface energy plastics, metals, powder coat surfaces and more with little or no surface preparation.

Application Summary
General industrial markets use Dual Lock to attach plastic and screen enclosure panels around automated equipment in temporary manufacturing cells. Display and Signage industries use Dual Lock to hang graphics and banners for trade shows and in-store promotions. Dual Lock is also used to fasten headliners and ceiling panels in truck cabs, buses, ambulances and rectreational vehicles.
